Blood Hurst Wins Appellate Victory Against Ikea
On December 19, 2019, the California Court of Appeals handed consumers a victory against Ikea, who is alleged to have illegally collected personal information in violation of California law. In a unanimous opinion, the Court of Appeals sided with consumers represented by Blood Hurst & O’Reardon on every issue, clearing the way for class certification. Blood Hurst & O’Reardon partner Paula Brown argued the appeal. “We look forward to getting back to the trial court and to trial on behalf of all Californians whose information was taken in violation of California’s Song-Beverly Credit Card Act,”
— Brown said.
