In an attack that began on February 20 hackers known as Magecart Group 8 placed malicious code onto NutriBullet’s website (nutribullet.com) and stole sensitive financial information of NurtiBullet’s customers. The hackers targeted the checkout page of the website, where customers enter payment card details such as card numbers, names, billing addresses, expiration dates and card verification numbers.
NutriBullet failed to respond to warnings from RiskIQ, a security firm that discovered the attack and tried repeatedly to warn the company.
